”As a kid, my hearing loss was picked up on occasions but wasn’t severe enough for anyone to do anything about it. As I got older I didn’t really notice how bad it had got, as I work for myself and rarely spent a lot of time in offices or in meetings.
It wasn’t until I took a contract job that required me to work a few days a week in an office and where I was reporting to a boss who was very softly spoken that I realised how debilitating my loss had become.
