Musician Earplugs
Musician Earplugs are recommended for any person who is exposed to loud levels of sound for prolonged periods of time and want to protect their ears by reducing the level of sound without affecting the clarity of sound. Whether it is socially (rehearsing in a band, at a noisy bar or restaurant), recreationally (live music events, bands, concerts, night clubs) or in the work environment (DJ, bar with loud music, musician in a band) ER plugs are the best solution for this.
Made from high quality material (ACS material and technology) and using ER (Etymotic Research™) filters they are designed to reduce the volume of what you are hearing whilst maintaining the clarity of sound. This is done by reducing the level of sound equally at all frequencies, thus reducing the volume whilst maintaining the clarity of what you are listening to.
Filters are easily interchangeable in the custom moulds and thus you can use different filters for different listening situations if required. Filter choices are:
- ER 9 – Recommended for light noise exposure and acoustic musicians providing an average of 9dB protection
- ER 15 – Recommended for most musicians playing amplified music and singers providing 15dB protection. Also ideal for people working in a noisy venue such as a bar or recreationally
- ER 25 – Recommended for highly amplified performances and drummers providing 25dB protection
- ER 20 – Off the shelf filters (not custom made). These are ideal for people who are looking for a more affordable option whilst still protecting the hearing by 20dB and maintaining the quality of sound. Available in two sizes; standard or large.
For the custom moulds, an appointment is required to discuss the most appropriate filter/s for your needs and to take impressions of the ears. Allow 30 minutes for this. A further appointment is made to instruct on insertion and the care of the moulds and filters.
For an appointment or to purchase a pair of the ER 20 over the phone (we will happily post to you), please call 1300 897 406 or visit us at:
